A major part has been welding engineering and implementation of appropriate welding technology to meet specific code and process requirements. Qualifying Welding procedures using mechanised GTAW/PGMAW/GSFCAW welding systems to achieve fast cycle times and high-quality welds. Responsible for qualification programmes for both ECA (Engineering Critical Assessments) and AUT (Automated Ultrasonic Testing) where Installation by Reeling is required.
Corrosion engineering/ integrity management work has CO2 corrosion assessment (Hydrocor, BP Cassandra, Norsok, ECE), sour-survive corrosion testing (Line pipe and Girth Welds) included preparation and implementation of corrosion management, inspection systems and risk-based inspection strategies for pipework, vessels, pipelines and structural steel and technical investigations following in-service failures.
